<EDIT> alright, i found a programmer and level deisgner, so STOP BUGGING ME

That's right. i need a programmer/ level designer for this game im working on, EVolution, based off of my other movie, Beauty is Humanity. There will be pay, split between the collaborators:
45% (animation/ concept)- 45% (programmer/ level designer)- 10% (audio)

This mother's art/animation/music is completely finished except for the level design and i cant wait to get it out there.

This game will be a platform shooter, featuring 12 eras of the past (1-6), present (7), and future (8-12).
Each level is constructed of tiles, each level with its own unique set of tiles. They have been partially constructed, but due to the fact that i suck at making challenging mazes/ levels/ puzzles, i have kind of given up on level design, which is what i need the level designer for. The levels should be fairly large and get more complex (as is custom in platformers).

What i expect from the programmer:

-can you make it so that the player can aim with the mouse, and make the character in the game rotate his weapon with it?

-do you have dropbox?

-do you have windows live messenger?

-can you make a score counter?

-can you make it have awards?

-when i send you the completed .fla, could you provide feedback? (Only if you agree)

-send me a demonstration of your programming skills (link to a game or something)

This is probably going to be very difficult, you must program 12 different player sprites. Example. (btw the characters seen in here are all dated, they look way cooler now :D) For a more updated look at the game's general design, look at this scene from the demo. You can't play it yet.

The game sprites, levels, and music are already made and you must be available immediately. I dont care when it's done, i want it done well.

Thank you!

sorry for this 3-week hiatus, my internet has been broken for several days and even know i'm using a stolen internet feed from my neighbors. but dont tell them! :)

Now I just need to find a programmer.

Once that's done, I'll ressurect the at-the-moment nonexistant BiH episode 1, (which was fried in an unfortunate power surge that destroyed the hard drive and cost me days of work) while Noxac programs the game. If all goes smoothly, they should be submitted around the same time, or maybe i'm being too optimistic. am i? nah.

Anyway, the game's art and animation is pretty much done. I'd like to keep details at a minimum, so no screenshot of the game itself. instead, here's some art i made involving the soon-to-be unsuspecting crewmembers of the Time Machine.

Also, school has started and i'm looking for internships in animation. I hope to learn 3-d for real this time when i find one.

The game (spriting) is done.

I'm pretty much done all the sprite animation, so now it's just down to the opening cinematic and handing it over to Noxac for programming.

Also, Gravey's given me some music to put in the flash.

Life is good. X)

the BiH game's coming along great!

yup. it's back from almost a month at the shop, and two months of being broken. I just reinstalled flash, i have yet to install photoshop, and my drawing tablet is being shipped right now.

Which brings me to some very bad news: um... most of my flashes have been destroyed except for some really important files i had kept on a flash drive... the good thing is it's like a volcano: it destroys everything but paves the way for something new. this means i'll actually have to discontinue the alphie series and concentrate more on Beauty is Humanity :)

Also, in my 2+ months now of spare time, i've organized a collaboration that will make a game for BiH. It will have platforming and shooting elements. I'm doing the art, concept, animation (the usual), Noxac will be doing the programming, and Gravey will be doing the music.

OOO YEH and i got my tablet!!!!!!! 8D

MY COMPUTER'S FIXED! BiH game now in production

<EDIT 6-22-10>
my 17th birtday. woopwoopwoop.
also, made a deviantart profile today. CHECK IT OUT.
There you will find a couple of concept sketches for my upcoming game. its gonna be epic.

Bad news: As precious few of you may know, my computer crashed while i was working on my two movies, and now the computer's impossible to turn onDONT PANIC! DO NOT FREAKIN PANIC!!!and the computer's stuck in a reboot loop.

Good news: The good news is, the computer guy's coming tomorrow to fix it up and reconstruct my files. I did not want too many people aware of this catastrophe because i thought they'd panic.

Great news: In my almost month now of spare time, i've organized a collaboration that will make a game for BiH. It will have platforming and shooting elements and even though its only in conception i'm sure it'll KICK ASS. I'll be doing the art, concept, animation (the usual), Noxac will be doing the programming, and Gravey will be doing the music.

Iffy news: If the files on my two movies aren't retrieved, there's a good chance they're toast, so.... YEAH. But hey, there's gonna be a kickass game to look forward to!

History of BiH:

I found the first drawing i ever made of Beauty is Humanity. It started when i was bored at summer camp last year and i drew it as a joke that i could show to my friends, but they said it was actually amazing and suggested i make a flash out of it. When i got home i started immediately but got bored with it quickly and stopped at the chimp stage. What? I have ADHD, or so i'm told. Doctors tend to overdiagnose these things. Anyways, school rolled around and before i knew it it was time to make another flash for the PTA Reflections competition for the theme "beauty is...". I was originally going to do another generic "alphie" toon, but while standing out it the cold waiting to be picked up i remembered the picture i had drawn that summer and started over the animation from scratch. I finished around thanksgiving and posted it on youtube. The initial response was disappointing as usual. During the new year, however, i posted it on NG and the response was the best i'd ever gotten. Now, i just found out that my vid only made it to PTA state level before being overshadowed by some video about smiles. Such is life.

so, yeah. waitin awn mah computahh.... doopadoop.

Anyway, yeah. Here's the first picture i ever drew that had to do with BiH.

good news, bad news, great news, iffy news, and the untold truth

That's right. Check it out here.

Also, two more episodes have been started immediately. Each one will introduce a new character, but they will be non-canon to each other. They will be worked on simultaneously, which is a totally new challenge for me. After that, the series will continue with the assumption that they have already met.

One new character is Brian Albertson. He is a 21st century Gadgetron employee, and as everyone in the 21st century was, he is very secular and spoiled rotten.

The other new character is Meredith the Beetcropper. She is a 7th century beet-farming serf, and as everyone in the 7th century was, she is extremely pious and uneducated.

As you can imagine, the two would HATE each other because of conflicting ideals, and Xleek, being the straight man, would get annoyed with their constant squabbling.

Sexual relationships will not be an issue, just saying. Brian will not touch Meredith because she never bathes, and Meredith will not touch Brian because he is a sinner.

Anyway, yeah. Realistically, this megaproject should be done within five months, no more.

<EDIT>
this below me is brian.

Human Ages - prologue is out! Two more on the way

Posted by vezanmatics - April 9th, 2010

Yes, this is the evolutionary process that takes place in Human Ages, as seen in the montage told by some wacky futurist.

We eventually try to escape the confines of our galaxy, a feat that would take a planet-sized space vessel and 50 generations at least. Since the process of evolution is too slow, we engineer ourselves to become more adaptable to space travel. The result is Homo extraterrestrialis.

As intergalactic travel becomes easier, we once more engineer ourselves to become even more adaptable, just for the hell of it, resulting in Homo Grisus. At this point they have developed time-traveling technology that they can use to study their distant ancestors, (us) and we commonly mistake them for literal "aliens".

FALSE.

In other news, Human Ages is coming along perfectly. As mentioned before, I would expect it out by this saturday at the latest.
Also, i recently contacted someone from a seemingly perfect animation university and showed her my vids! Things are looking on the up and up!

Also: coolest space shot evar.

Human Ages- evolution

I'm back on track. So far the movie's coming along really nicely...

I'd expect it out by late may at most.

And that's not even the best part! I got someone to make a custom audio soundtrack for me!

Also, I'm going to the dominican republic for spring break tomorrow. That'll be fun.

:D
Beauty is Humanity. IMPORTANT.

Oh yeah, i'm also a bit concerned that my man Alphie isn't getting enough attention. So look at his movies. And hell, while you're at it, check out my art piece.

oh, and i made a new custom header. Awesome.

cool.

...So......... yeah.
